How To Become An Internet Millionaire
Friday, October 31st, 20085 Stupid Simple Ways To Strike Out On Your Own And Become An Internet Millionaire
Here we go…
1. Not all businesses are created equal. Signing up as a distributor and selling vitamins or supplements to replace one’s near six figure income does not appeal to while collar people and other professionals. The days of building an empire of distributors underneath you who market a lower cost nutritional supplement or household item so that one day in the future you can build a substantial monthly residual income check are over. As Mike Dillard wrote in his infamous “Coffee House Letter”, why not Get Paid Today. Your take away is to find a business with an upfront high profit commission where you can earn at least $1,000-$5,000 per sale.
2. Realize that your road to internet millions will not be paved with gold. If you expect it to be a walk in the park you are better off buying a lottery ticket. There will be hurdles and obstacles to get over, but you will not have the overhead, and expenses a brick and mortar business does.
3. Never be boring! There are so many free ways to market yourself, and so many lame brains regurgitating the same old things. You must entice people. Whether it’s a 3 line text ad in Google Adwords or a press release–make it sexy, and enticing. Your goal is to make people take action.
4. Develop an insatiable appetite for knowledge-Learn all the aspects of your trade. If you ask me it comes down to 3 areas. Mindset, Sales, and Marketing. You cannot out perform yourself image, and the one who markets and promotes the best gets the cheese. If you do not know what I mean my self image, check out the classic Psycho Cybernetics.
5. You can’t wear all the hats. I am pretty tech savvy, and can make simple websites with an HTML editor called Page Breeze. It rocks. But, I do not have the time or patience to learn photoshop or dream weaver. Outsource those tasks by finding a designer at www.elance.com. It’s a great place to find work that you cannot do yourself. Even stupid things like an operating system re-install can devour time. Find the balance. I am somewhat tech savvy, but that 5 minute Wordpress install took me much longer than 5 minutes. Somethings you will want to hire out and some you won’t. Here is a good way to look at it.
If you are going to spend time on something–learn a skill. You are better off spent learning Google Adwords and mastering it, because in the process you will at a minimum learn what a good campaign manager will do for you, this alone will save you hundreds should you outsource down the line. Bottom line is to recognize what activities will produce income and take care of those first.
