Finding The Right Business to Start
To Automate or Not Automate, That is the question. While most online businesses are virtually automated in a sense, there are those that require you speak to potential partners and those that require no talking to people whatsoever. The benefit to speaking with people is that 1 it’s not that hard and nothing to be scared of, you will not be trying to “get” them to do anything. You are simply helping them discover what problems they have, their willingness to solve them, and if your business would be an appropriate way for them to do that. If you are good at having a simple conversation you can be sloppy at marketing. In most businesses like these you sell 3 products with one that is relatively affordable and a 2nd and 3rd tier product that are more money. Who do you think is more likely to purchase the higher end back end products-someone who passes through your sales funnel and barely speak with or someone whom you have built a relationship with and help set up in business?
So while “automated” businesses seem hot-this is a people’s business. Websites, videos, sales funnels, auto-responders, informational dvd’s/cd’s are sales tools not to be confused with sales crutches.
Keep this in mind while looking for a business, you can make money in both but you they have their pros and cons.
Cheers,
Eric
