The Scam/Review Websites- I wouldn’t Believe A Word They Say, Here’s Why:

The whole point about evaluating a business is for you to make up your own mind about it. Unfortunately in today’s media world advertising and journalism are so intertwined it’s very hard to distinguish between the two. Companies use PR firms to get their products or services written about and publicized. In return, you should get a very fair and balanced story/review. Everyone has read automobile reviews, but what would you think if at the end of the review they had in big bold letters, “Our editors and drivers have test driven thousands of automobiles and we have found that the best car dealer is Toyota.” It would be pretty sketchy right. You really wouldn’t give much credibility to the magazine because it is so blatantly apparent they have some kind of deal arranged with Toyota. But everyday on the Internet people claim they have reviewed all of these business opportunities and then have a tag line on the bottom of each page that looks something like this:

I’ve Tested Hundreds of Business Opportunities and this is the Only One I Found that Created a Passive Income that Allowed me to Leave the Job I Hated and Spend Time with my Family.

So in reality, what’s happening is that they are positioning themselves as an authority figure to gain credibility with the reader who is a potential customer. To me it’s blatantly obvious that they are financially motivated to have readers join them. They are selling a business opportunity as well.

A word to the wise would be to formulate your own opinion about something. You are looking for a business and there is going to be risk, and there will probably be things about the business you will want to change, but it is better to get started towards success, than not do anything at all. Don’t get alarmed if you read something bad about a company, keep in mind that the Internet is one big forum for people’s opinions and anyone can write anything they want. Opinions are the cheapest thing out there. Aren’t there always going to be people who have something bad to say regardless of how good a person, company or business is? So if no one was talking about it in the first place there probably isn’t anything that important going on at all.

So think for yourself, go speak with people who are in the business and having results and decide where you want to be based on that. You are far better off making up your own mind instead of having a 3rd party do it for you.
