So many people want to strike it rich in the internet. I have raked in some hefty profits, and have lost some too. There is plenty of money out there. How fierce of a game do you want to play.
You don’t need to be a ninja in your niche to do well, in fairly uncompetitive markets, but if you want attract others into your home business, get ready for a fight.
Google search marketing is the way many go down, and for some their brief stint on the web advertising ends like a Mike Tyson fight of the 90s. Ouch, sometimes, his opponent was so out matched it wasn’t even fair.
I know you don’t want to go down like that.
Here is what you need to consider during tough times…
Google became the supreme search engine, because it sorts through 90% of the dribble that is out there on the internet and gets you what you are looking for. They have your experience in mind, so when you advertise, make it your #1 goal to add value to your potential customers.
I spent several hundred dollars learning how to do this, and I still need help. But then again, my niche is probably in the top 10 most competitive niches to be in. So that means it’s going to take some work, but there are lots of money to be made.
To get really good, you need what’s called a landing page or “capture page.” Your site has to sell your visitors on why they should buy from you and one of the best ways you can build a following is to promote a newsletter, free report, or white paper.
Most, as in 95%, will not buy on visit numero uno. You need them coming back, and you need to capture their attention first, establish a relationship first then sell them.
You must be willing to give without want before you are able to receive.
Don’t even think about doing anything with Google until you have looked at good capture pages, and adapted your website into something similar. All you need is a 3-5 page site.
My home page was molded after a capture page used to generate leads for mortgage companies. The format is designed to get people’s attention and lead them to fill out their form. Once that is done they get more info and a 5 Day E-Mail Boot Camp, which many of you are on.
The worst thing you can do is start pay per click advertising, with a poor performing website. It will be a frustrating experience.
That would be the #1 thing you should avoid. Using your existing website. Remove all the clutter and navigation, and give people pretty much one choice. Become a sales lead.
You will be saving yourself lots of “green” friends, and lots of headaches.
Don’t be afraid to keep an online Rolodex of websites to sample ideas from. Rappers call this a sample library, copywriters call it a swipe file. Don’t plagiarize, but look for ideas and make them your own.
Once your done Google is offering a $250 credit on new accounts. Go Google It..
For those of you that don’t know, I am from New Jersey, and most folks here like Springsteen and Bon Jovi.
These guys know how to rock the house and they earned every dime they have but, intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, chorus, outro, chorus, does not do it for me.
OK, I use to like Bon Jovi’s album Slippery When Wet when it first came out, and I have no problem pounding back a tequila shot or 3, chasing it down with a Coors light or Heineken, while listening to “Dead or Alive” a Jersey Shore Bar.
“Im a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
Im wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive”
You have probably heard the song before. It is a great tune.
Lets back up to the 1970s, almost an entire decade before.
Mind you it’s the 1970s and Disco was reigning supreme. Studio 54 was a national attraction, and the guido lifestyle spread through out New York City, into Long Island, Staten, Island, and New Jersey suburbs.
The late 70s and 80s was a lavish decadent time. Across the pond, the Sex Pistols, were singing a different tune, it was angst ridden anti establishment, Punk Rock. Some might say that the Ramones started it all but that is neither here nor there.
The Boss and BonJovi are both South Jersey cats so we are going to shoot up the Garden State Parkway headed North to a town called Lodi—pronounced Low Die.
A young Glenn Anzalone, and his band mates named themselves The Misfits, after Marlyn Monroe’s last movie, to pay tribute to her and because it was a cool name. Their music was like 1950s 3 chord rocknroll, with lyrics that brought you right on to the set of a 1950s horror movie. Martians, alien invasions, Halloween, candy apples and razor blades.
Glenn Anzalone, more popularly known as Glenn Danzig or just Danzig, was sometimes called the evil Elvis, he wrote songs like “Horror Business” “The Last Caress” and “Die Die My Darling.”
More famous bands like Metallica, Guns and Roses, and My Chemical Romance have covered their songs, and Glenn even wrote a song for Johnny Cash.
Glenn broke up the band in 1983 or so and formed the band Sam Hain but it was too obscure, he was discovered by Rick Rubin, who started Def Jam records from his NYU dorm room and most recently produced the latest Metallica album.
The Misfits have 1 member that has been carrying them through since the 80s, and that is the original bassist Jerry Only.
Here I am pictured with him(on left) and his brother Doyle, way back when I was 14 and a freshman in high school.
Yes that was taken on a Polaroid camera my Dad has for as long as I can remember.
Jerry Only, despite the skulls, spikes, eerie attire, is a solid self disciplined family man. He has been plowing away for over 20 years and credits having a family for making him tougher. No beer, or cigarettes are allowed on their tour bus. They don’t do groupies or green rooms, and instead they pack a portable bench press when touring.
There were times when Jerry lost money pursuing his dreams. Danzig, the original front man of The Misfits, kept them in a legal battle for about 10 years, and I am sure there were times when everyone thought it was over.
Since that time I went to a comic book convention where Jerry and his bother Doyle set up shop for fans, many things have changed, for starters who lugs around a Polaroid camera anymore.
Everything is virtually instantaneous, and has gone digital. If you are a band, or artist there are tons of ways you can get the word out, even a blog like I am doing here.
Imagine if musicians had a proven system or path they could follow. Pop stars definitely do, but people pursuing that path are more likely to get struck by lightning than get “discovered.”
Well, for those of you really serious about venturing out online, we have the system in place. It’s over 8 years old. It’s proven to produce $1,000.00’s in profits, for those who work it.
The system never fails, like I mentioned there are a ton of ways to get the word out. You may have never heard of these punk rockers from Lodi, but many of you know Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi.
Be excited!!!You will not have to worry about things rock stars do like contracts, lawyers, producers, record companies, and managers wanting to dip their hands into your piggy bank.
Come to think of it you won’t even have employees, inventory, or expensive over head holding you back.
The only variable is you….Ready to rock and roll????
Here is a concert footage, where they play 1950s rock and roll tunes, with an interview mixed in where they discuss what rock music means to people, Marilyn Monroe, and merchandise among other things.
Think of keyword campaigns–each campaign represents a keyword theme–ie, personal development, home based business, competitors, affiliate marketing, how to make money, franchise business would all be good campaign ideas you can use to get the ball rolling.
Keywords can be “keywords” and URLs like www.keyword.com
We discussed several ways to come up with ideas-
Remember the different types of keywords there are–
Browser (home business)
Shopper ( best home business to start)
Buyer (how to succeed in XYZ company)
Go for keywords that target people further into the buying cycle. Don’t obsess over this however.
AVOID TERMS LIKE “SALES JOB” or “WEALTH MANAGEMENT” they will run up your budget and get you no leads or very expensive leads. Similarly avoind www.entrepreneur.com and go for
Another way would be to individually copy and paste urls and advertisers from the search engine results page into your account or brainstorm your keyword ideas and use http://www.spyfu.com to generate keywords and URLs.
Also consider keyword elite–see the link on the right column of this blog. (simple easy keyword tool)
I recommend Beau Reed’s Zango Guru course. It is a very effective tool that will teach you these strategies.
Once you have 4-6 campaigns with about 400-500 keywords and URLs adjust your bids to an hourly bidding strategy.
Then click advanced Settings to “schedule” your ads. I shut mine off at night.
This will reduce your budget, and keep it under control.
**** GET CONVERSION TRACKING INSTALLED ON YOUR WEBSITE–DO NOT TURN YOUR CAMPAIGN ON UNTIL IT IS INSTALLED****
** your conversion tracking code is found on the main page of your Zango account**
How To Optomize
Run your conversion tracking report daily and look for keywords and URLs that cost $1 or more and did not get you a lead. Delete these.
Take keywords that did get you leads and start a new campaign that only has keywords that produce leads for you. These are the only ones you will adjust your budget. Leave everything set to the minimums Zango does for you.
At the end of your first week run the report for a bigger time span (the entire 7 day week) and eliminate keywords that cost $1 and got you NO leads. Sometimes a keyword will cost you 35 cents per day, but you will not see this when running a daily report. At the end of each week, run a weekly campaign to really weed out non performing keywords.
Every time you start a new campaign and add several hundred keywords you will want to log in and run your conversion tracking daily.
Eventually this can be done on a monthly basis, follow these steps and you are on your way to $3 leads!

5 Stupid Simple Ways To Strike Out On Your Own And Become An Internet Millionaire
Here we go…
1. Not all businesses are created equal. Signing up as a distributor and selling vitamins or supplements to replace one’s near six figure income does not appeal to while collar people and other professionals. The days of building an empire of distributors underneath you who market a lower cost nutritional supplement or household item so that one day in the future you can build a substantial monthly residual income check are over. As Mike Dillard wrote in his infamous “Coffee House Letter”, why not Get Paid Today. Your take away is to find a business with an upfront high profit commission where you can earn at least $1,000-$5,000 per sale.
2. Realize that your road to internet millions will not be paved with gold. If you expect it to be a walk in the park you are better off buying a lottery ticket. There will be hurdles and obstacles to get over, but you will not have the overhead, and expenses a brick and mortar business does.
3. Never be boring! There are so many free ways to market yourself, and so many lame brains regurgitating the same old things. You must entice people. Whether it’s a 3 line text ad in Google Adwords or a press release–make it sexy, and enticing. Your goal is to make people take action.
4. Develop an insatiable appetite for knowledge-Learn all the aspects of your trade. If you ask me it comes down to 3 areas. Mindset, Sales, and Marketing. You cannot out perform yourself image, and the one who markets and promotes the best gets the cheese. If you do not know what I mean my self image, check out the classic Psycho Cybernetics.
5. You can’t wear all the hats. I am pretty tech savvy, and can make simple websites with an HTML editor called Page Breeze. It rocks. But, I do not have the time or patience to learn photoshop or dream weaver. Outsource those tasks by finding a designer at www.elance.com. It’s a great place to find work that you cannot do yourself. Even stupid things like an operating system re-install can devour time. Find the balance. I am somewhat tech savvy, but that 5 minute Wordpress install took me much longer than 5 minutes. Somethings you will want to hire out and some you won’t. Here is a good way to look at it.
If you are going to spend time on something–learn a skill. You are better off spent learning Google Adwords and mastering it, because in the process you will at a minimum learn what a good campaign manager will do for you, this alone will save you hundreds should you outsource down the line. Bottom line is to recognize what activities will produce income and take care of those first.
This is his first Disc of the Program. If you want to understand the mindset of what it takes to allow people to join your business, and really know who you are looking for and the psychology behind it, sit back relax and take some notes.
I bought this product, it rocks and it will help you take your game to the next level.
Here are 5 questions you want to ask yourself as you are out there becoming successful marketers, and business people.
1. Do you currently have a PROFITABLE advertisement running for your network marketing business? (Profitable means the influx of cash from enrolling new distributors and customers exceeds that of the cost for the ad.)
2. Do you have a lead generation system in place that converts a good percentage of your visitors into prospects? (An automatic “lead machine” that transforms visitors into qualified prospects for your MLM)
3. Do you have a recruiting process that transforms your hottest prospects into customers and distributors that doesn’t require you to do any the selling?
4. Do you know how to create advertising copy that penetrates your readers minds and induces action?
5. Do you have your advertising down to a science, meaning you know just how many visitors it takes to get a qualified lead, how many leads to get a new distributor… in other words, CAN YOU ACCURATELY MEASURE and project your return on investment for every ad dollar you spend and every phone number you dial?
If you answered No to any of these questions you are guilty of Shot Gun Marketing.
Your best approach is to be Scientific! Over the next few weeks you I will be teaching you how to sharpen your swords and become very effective marketers!
Beau Reed is right, the average newbie home business owner will get their shirts taken if they go on Google and load up their Adwords account with broad generic terms like “home based business” As of writing you are looking at about $2 per click to be on the first page, in the last spot mind you. You do not want to be in the 1st position anyway but this is not a Google conversation.
Most new home business owners also do not know how to write an effective 3 line text ads that attract serious entrepreneurs. That’s why Zango Guru is so great. You do not need to know how. Zango provides content on the internet and in exchange for viewing this content, users agree to have advertisements shown.
Besides keywords like internet business or entrepreneur, you can bid on websites that have articles about starting your own business and your website will pop up in front of people viewing it. There are over 20,000,000 people using Zango, so it’s pretty powerful.
Zango Guru gives you all the step by step instruction you need to master this and become an effective internet marketer. All you need is your website.
Go ahead and visit ZangoGuru.net and get the 3 free videos, they will be very informative and worthwhile. I bought the course and it really helped me make a ton of money in my business, I suggest you do the same!
The whole thing is wrapped around 1 idea or concept. Do you have an idea of what that is? This one aspect of how we view ourselves is the #1 reasonwhy people succeed, fail, or putter along. Are you afraid of your own success. People who are not afraid define a direction for themselves and get after it.This helps one overcome adversity and hit the goal. Being comfortable with success or even our own potential requires that we get to a destination in life. Having a vision & moving towards it with confidence.I am no guru or expert but I really think that people who float along through the ocean of life do so because ultimately they are afraid of their true potential. You may have heard the expression “you are where you are in life based on your mindset” totally true. You can’t out perform your self image. And as you know on any journey knowledge is attained, but what stops people from choosing where they want to be ultimately comes down to being afraid of our own potential. How can we move forward if we are afraid of the destination? The clearer we get on defining what we want will determine the actions we needto take. This goes hand in hand with why 2 people doing the same thin in the see profession are having completely different results. Why is this??One of them is ok with success, the degree to which we struggle is proportionate to how clear and comfortable we are with our highest potential.Cheers,Eric
